Is there a scope for an interest group on certain topics to consolidate certain areas e.g. aflatoxins, PPR… There should be some quality control from program leaders to make sure we don’t undersell ourselves. And the point again is to build stronger program linkages.

Goats in Cameroon, Brachiaria, nutrition, aflatoxins, genetic characterization etc. is this what BecA is supposed to do in areas where there are huge conflicts (in pastoral areas) requiring different expertise e.g. What diagnostics are there? In crop-livestock systems what are challenges etc.? it seems we are doing patches of things here and there but how can ILRI make sense of these BecA pieces as one coherent whole? Have we got enough consultation on national priorities?
