I see two issues here, one to possibly assess the effectiveness of PPP business-hub approach, and the other one is the integrated nature of pig and poultry farming that presents potential synergies that can be tapped by taking a One Farm perspective. So, is the focus on evaluating the effectiveness of the institutional mechanism (PPP) for address production, market and other constraints in a smallholder pig and poultry systems? Or is it testing the One Farm approach as a framework for diagnosing constraints and potential solutions that could be addressed through some institutional approaches? Might be worthwhile to have a clear problem statement in the next iteration?

I guess I’d like to understand well what the research issues are and how these align with ILRI’s competencies. Its probably something that requires some key partners?

Could you start putting together the objectives?
And anyone from Vietnam to second???

I would like to learn more about your PPP approach and how this encompasses the whole farm. How about natural resource management? I think you need to look at NRM as well and tease out the threshold at which farmers start re-investing in NRM when the level of income increases.
