     HOTELS

    Participants will be staying at the Royal Swazi Spa, Lugogo Sun and Sibane Hotel which are all located at Ezulwini Valley of Swaziland. This is about 80km from the airport. Hotel reservations have been made according to the arrival information provided by each participant.

    CONFERENCE VENUE

    The Conference will be held at Royal Swazi Spa at Libandla Room on 21st – 22nd February 2017. There will be a field visit on 23rd February 2017 starting at 7a.m.

    MEALS

    Breakfast is included in the cost of room and starts at 7:30a.m. daily. Lunch is provided by Conference Organizers during the meeting days. Packed lunch will be provided during field visit.  All other costs will be borne by participants.

    TRANSPORT

    Provision is made for participants from the King Mswati III International Airport (KMIII) to their hotel as per flight schedule and likewise on departure dates. Please look out for Conference Staff at arrivals holding name placards and/or wearing ILRI/IFAD branded shirts. Transport to the field visit will be provided and will leave Royal Swazi hotel at assemble point at 7.am.

    VISAS

    All participants who have communicated the need for a visa will be assisted on arrival at KMIII International Airport.

    PORT HEALTH

    There is no risk of yellow fever in Swaziland. The government of Swaziland requires proof of yellow fever vaccination only if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever.     CURRENCY

    The currency of Swaziland is Lilangeni (plural: Emalangeni) which is fixed to the rand (1 Rand = 1 Lilangeni). South African Rands are accepted everywhere and there’s no need to change them. 1 SZL = 0.076 USD

    Emalangeni are difficult to exchange for other currencies outside Swaziland, so you should reconvert before you leave and spare E50 for compulsory departure tax if you are leaving through the airport.

    WEATHER

    February is mostly warm to hot with light to heavy rain and temperatures of about 18 °C to 31 °C. Bring a hat and umbrella/raincoat for field visit.

    Swaziland is in the GMT Zone (+2)
