Stuart is a seasoned international development leader with a track record for delivering development results. Bridging the capabilities of people, organisations and systems, he works to bring the right players together to tackle critical issues within complex systems. Within ILRI, he works to build partnerships with development organisations in ways that unleash the full potential of researchers and development actors in addressing food security and poverty.
With 27 years of experience across the development sector, Stuart has particular expertise in livestock systems and crop farming systems, value chain development and facilitation, he has stimulated the growth of local markets in Africa, has supported agriculture infrastructure and producer capability development in Asia, and has implanted participatory agricultural extension services in North Africa.
