Kennedy Dzama

  • Prof Dzama’s academic career started in 1993 when he graduated with his PhD from Texas A&M University in the USA. Since then he has taught at a number of universities in Southern Africa, including Universities of Malawi, Zimbabwe, Fort Hare and Stellenbosch.

    Trained initially as an Animal geneticist, he has increasingly become involved in transdisciplinary scholarship as his career advances. As such he is the team leader of the SU Sustainable Agriculture program and also heads up the SU Food security project.

    Prof Dzama has written more than 100 papers in peer reviewed journals and has supervised more than 30 postgraduate students
